Dell in North America is looking to fill an Inside Sales Account Management position at their North America. The Scope of the position is as follows: Individual contributors responsible for selling Dell’s printer, projector and digital signage solutions, to new and existing customers in Federal. I didn’t realise that Dell had their own digital signag solution but I’m guessing they must be refeering to their display screens or all in one PCs.

Based on the qualifications required, the position doesn’t look like it’s that difficult to get if you have the right skills:

• Minimum 2 years relationship sales and Federal experience

• ISR-AE class completion or field experience equivalent

• Strong organizational/time management skills

• Highly energetic

• Support of your manager and RSM

Maintains records of all account activity within sales database.
Identifies contacts in accounts and conducts strategic calls.
Serves as first line of contact with digital signage customers.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum BA/BS or related technical degree required
At least 2 years experience providing technical and sales support
Successful Sales History and Close Rate
Financial Modeling and business forecasting experience
Team building, time management and problem-solving skills
Must be able to Travel 50% of the time
Must be proficient in performing business and account analysis
Strong creative vision relative to digital signage
Strong understanding of display solutions
Team player with ability to coordinate efforts with sales reps to sell
Strong computer skills with current technical knowledge
Solid interpersonal skills in order to close deals and make presentations
A strong background in developing technical solutions that meet customer needs

This is probably the second job posting I saw this month advertising for a digital signage job in LA. The first was posted by one of our readers (Frank) – see the post here. I just came across this job advertisement which I found quite interesting. The job is based in the UK (St Albans) and its for a Business Development Manager in a AV company. The company is looking for a sales manager with digital signage experience. When I read this I thought to myself how many people had this type of experience and how much demand is there for such a position?
