Digital Signage FAIL: Landscape or Portrait

Here’s a picture of an interesting setup… oops it’s actually an issue with the way the video output orientation was setup. Have a look:

FAIL FEATURES

The content of on the first set of screens is in the wrong orientation. Because the screens are setup in a landscape orientation, the operating system needs to be configured in portrait.

The last set of screens has part of the image cut off between the first and second screen.

SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS

Since it’s a 1×3 video wall configuration, the content is displayed across all 3 screens. Check the operating system to make sure the orientation is setup correctly.

Realign the content to ensure that it can be read.

Install a monitoring system (could be via the digital signage software or even a web cam) to visually inspect the content displayed on all the screens

If you have seen or would like to share a FAIL photo with the rest of the digital signage community please send it to info @ digitalsignageblog.com

Please also include the FAIL FEATURES and SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
NOTE: We will not be naming any companies/businesses or the location of where the photo’s were taken but we just want to highlight what went wrong, possible ways to remedy the problem and how to possibly avoid the same issue.
