Using the Pay Per Glance Model

As we all know, Internet Adverting is a multi-million dollar industry. The model is simple, the business pays for every advertising click or impression from a website. So how can this be adopted to the digital signage industry?I’m not sure how many businesses are doing this already but there are now technologies such as anonymous facial recognition that track whether someone looked at the screen. This means that digital signage network operators can now charge advertisers based on Pay Per Glance model. All you need is a camera/sensor to capture the audience and anonymous facial analytics software to report and track the number of times someone looked at the screen.

What are some of the benefits of using this technology:

Great for Advertisers – digital signs allow advertisers to dynamically adjust their messages in rapidly changing environments and in real-time

Targeted ads – adapt ad content to specific demographics of the people viewing it e.g age, gender, distance. By having targeted ads, your content becomes more relevant and more effective! Then by correlating sales data with the ads shown advertiser can directly target ads to their audience and measure their effectiveness

Pay Per Glance duration – the system will also allow you to determine how long people were looking at the ad
