Tender: Digital Signage and Wayfinding for Air Force District of Washington

The Air Force District of Washington has a tender for a Digital Signage and Wayfinding Solution. It was issued on the 5th of September and all offers are due on the 19th September 2012.  According to the RFP document, they are looking for a company who is able to supply the following:

  • complete turnkey solution for Digital Signage creation, development, and support for AFDW in Jones and Smart Buildings. Two (2) 55″ TVs in the Jones Building and One (1) 55″ TVs in the Smart Building. The solution will need to include all software, installation, and training.
  • complete turnkey solution for WayFinder solution for AFDW in Jones and Smart Buildings. Two (2) freestanding 32″ kiosks in the Jones Building and One (1) freestanding 32″ kiosk in the Smart Building. The solution will need to include all software, installation, and training.
  • complete turnkey solution for Digital Conference Room Signs to include (12) 10 X 10 inch digital signs for the Jones Building. And includes (8) 10 x 10 inch digital signs for Smart Building. Solution will enable automatic updating of events and conference room data. Solution will include all software, installation, and training.
  • nonpersonal Services: The contractor shall provide technical support for all digital signage, wayfinding, and digital conference room signs for AFDW for one (1) year. Effective date will be established by modification upon the Government acceptance of complete set-up and installation.
  • complete turnkey solution for Digital Signage creation, development, and support for 79th MDW. The Government will provide TVs and hardware. Solution will include all software, installation, and training.
  • complete turnkey solution for WayFinder solution for 79th MDW in Malcolm Grow Medical Clinic. Two (2) freestanding 32″ kiosks with printing capability in Malcolm Grow Medical Clinic. Solution will include all software, installation, and training. See attachment for description of services.
  • nonpersonal Services: The contractor shall provide technical support for all digital signage and wayfinding for 79th MDW for one (1) year. Effective date will be established by modification upon the Government acceptance of complete set-up and installation.

In summary, this Government department wants 3x  55″ TVs (Screens), 5x 32″ kiosks (two needs to support printing capability), 20 x 10 inch screens  that is connected to  a digital signage network with wayfinding capabilities. In addition the solution needs to include software, installation, training and support (1 Year for support).

There’s a few acronyms in the requirements and if you need to find out what they mean, then please contact the relevant person.
