Eco-screen?

The environmental hype for a cleaner world has been explored in many different ways, from emissions to .. printing. That’s right, printing!

A Dutch company have found ways to reduce the environmental costs of printing by creating a new font that uses up to 20% less ink. The whole idea behind the design is to remove parts of a letter using small circles while maintaining readability.

After Dutch holey cheese, there now is a Dutch font with holes as well.

So how would this apply for digital signage screens, if any effect at all?
Do the electric charges behind each pixel contribute to a different voltage for every colour output onto the screen?

Is there such thing as green content for screens?
